"Christmas in August"

Four years ago "Christmas in August" was started at the First Presbyterian Church. This event was created to supply free back to school supplies for children in need. Last year we gave school supplies and food to over 1,500 children in the city. The outreach this year will be Saturday, August 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We need your help! We are asking for a financial donation so that we may purchase a large quantity of backpacks from an internet vendor. All checks should be made payable to First Presbyterian Church, 100 Cannon Street, PO'K, NY 12601. Please mark it to the attention of Church & Society and make a note in the memo section of your checks for "Christmas in August". We are also accepting glue sticks, washable markers, baby wipes, purse size tissues, black and white marbleized composition notebooks, five subject spiral notebooks with dividers, #2 pencils, yellow highlighters and pink erasers.
